The Wheatsheaf Consort is a choir which meets once a week on a Thursday evening in Banbury, Oxfordshire. It was founded in the early 1990’s, and after its first year or so of existence has concentrated on performance of church music in a liturgical context, usually in cathedrals or large churches, which have included Chester, Norwich, Ripon, Sheffield, Chichester, Portsmouth, Bury St Edmunds, Bristol, Bath, Beverley, St Asaph, Llandaff, Derby, Guildford, Leicester, Coventry, Peterborough, Exeter, Salisbury, Wells, Hereford, Worcester, Goucester, Malvern, Leominster, Pershore, Southwell, Christchurch, Sherbourne, Northleach, Stow, Chipping Campden, Brailes and Chipping Norton as well as churches in London and Birmingham.
